In order to come up with some new bead ideas I set up a little summer project for me. I intend to make 26 sculptural beads each one representing a different letter of the alphabet. Rather than represent an individual letter each bead will be some kind of anthropomorphic creature whose name begins with a specific letter. The Alphabet Beads will incorporate their letter into their design. My self-imposed rules are: No making up animals or objects, no deliberate misspellings (e.g. Ku Klux Klam etc.), no skipping over the hard letters like U or X, though the rules may be bent if completion of the set appears to be in peril.

The beads on this page were available exclusively in my Ebay store at one time or another. The date beneath the indicates thier date of sale. If you can't find your favorite letter among the ones depicted it is because I haven't made it yet. That means either that the letter will be on sale in the future or that I have died before completing this epic work. You better check out Ebay either way.
